Hey, I forgot to order an OS when I ordered my NP5792 because, well, I'm an idiot. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the 64 bit version of home premium offline, preferably tonight? (in LA area).
I checked at Best Buy (400 dollars for Ultimate Edition, no thanks!), Frye's (this might be the worst store ever), and Circuit City (no go!) ..Such a bummer!

At retail stores you are only going to find retail copies of Vista, which are going to be expensive and not 64-bit. I think your only real choice is to order an OEM copy of 64-bit online and wait. In the mean time you could get a bootable Linux CD so you can at least use the computer.

One of the best thing i like is that if you are a student at any university you can get a copy for free. I got mine for free at the university i go. I when to major department and signed up my account to get software.
