It's fine, go ahead and install. The only quirk I've noticed is I don't get the "popup" when I change volume, turn off wifi, etc.

Same here. But my stuff is lightning fast right now. Almost no need for me to go with Windows 7 on this laptop other than Areo Peek, which I have fallen in love with and have taken as a concubine.

Vista has been my secondary system for the last six months. I did install SP2 and noticed no differences whatsoever...

Windows 7 is the way to go!

I had tried Win7 for about 2 weeks and there are so many errors, so I removed it. Btw, Vista SP2 so far so good. But can't really tell the differences.

Same here. While there is no change, Vista does what I need, so not planning to mess with 7 again before RTM. I run W7 RC rarely in Virtual PC, but that's it.

Kind of a shame really...I wish they made it run better. Vista is stable but still too slow and cluttered.

I got tons of errors in Event logs such as WMI errors. I hate errors so no Win 7 for me, I'll pass.
And also, it kept reboot itself randomly every 24 hours.
