This is strange but sometimes on my 5791 when I use fn-F5 or fn-F6 to adjust volume I lose the ability to control the cursor with the mouse or trackpad. Anyone seen this?

I haven't quite seen this one, sorry. Mine for some reason has been loosing the ability to scroll with the touchpad; however, it dosn't seem to be linked to the volume hotkey (I can't figure out why it's doing it).

If I reboot I regain the ability to scroll.

This sounds like a driver issue or some other software trapping the same interrupt. Have you installed anything lately? Updated a driver? Maybe try reinstalling the fn key software again. It is on the Sager driver/support site.
