? thats strange. it seems its literraly gone up in flames! perhaps its just a website refresh that they are doing. supposedly, voodoo pc are supposed to be bringing out their own laptop chassis this month, just like AW did with the m15x and m17x.
personally, i only see voodoopc as an expensive reseller with a very VERY expensive, yet simple pain job -
Could of sworn I saw an article saying HP was merging Voodoo with them completely.
-
so they going outa bizness?
-
its just a marketing ploy. go to the forum and you will see a box of text. it says this: As you've probably noticed, VoodooPC.com is on fire. Great news: The fire department is on the scene, battling the blaze like true Canadian heroes. Unfortunately, they're not letting anyone back into our community to register or post until they can guarantee it's safe (and totally awesome). Expect exciting developments on June 10th.

i guarantte its to gain interest for the new laptop range
-
yep, just hype for the new notebooks, and "burning" the old ones
-
-
Interesting...
I didn't know there were more expensive computers than Alienware lol. -
oh yes there are... how much do they charge for their paintjobs again? couple thousand? anyway, you can easily get up to $15,000 with some voodoopcs without even adding peripherals

yo dude I think its a marketing gimmick for a site relaunch
something about the fire dept wont let anyone post anything new, something exciting june 10th!
**** LOL in the time it took me to post my bit everyone else said it ! DUH!*****

Phoenix XPS maybe?
Yeah their business needed a serious refresh and refocus.
I'm curious definitely.

I really hope they use the AMD Puma platform on at least one notebook and seriously....drop the price!
-
Definitely won't be cheap.

What a bunch of mambo jambo statements about gaming desktops. It does not take 3 months on this market to figure out what he concludes. VoodoopC doesn't even have a thread on it's own on this forum. That shows how strong their brand is in the gaming market.
not true, look in other manufacterers. they have their own site exclusively for voodoopc.
as for the models comming out, one of them will be a clevo, so either the M860TU or the M570TU (they may only add this one to their lineup at the official montevina launch) and another is a custom built system like the m15x -
yeah, now that voodoo has the weight of HP behind them they can build their own custom systems

Indeed not true at all.
First time I see a marketing compaign such as this one. It is like a complete business reset. Only time will tell if it is a wise move.
It is strange that you need to go to the community section to be told the good news about being on fire.
I think that the XPS brand would be excellent!!!!!
Stand corrected,

HP is supsed to use voodoo as their high end laptop range. they were even thinking of rebranding voodoo laptops with something really stupid like VOODOO and then a little "HP gaming system" below the voodoo branding. hopefull they dont do that.

You can always buy the last line up of Voodoo PCs here:

On EBAY????? Weird.

I think it's just a joke for voodoo insiders which they did because they have a bunch of idle webmasters
(I mean, in terms of the flames and stuff, the laptops are real and are coming)
-
Maybe they got hacked by a bunch of merry pranksters!
-
I point the finger at eleron, since he is not posting here in fear of giving himself away.

you might want to check this out:

looks like voodoo has suspended their current line to instill anticipation for the new line... -
I wonder which big computer company is going buy up FalconNW as thier elite gaming partner. Are there any more big companies without a gaming partner? Dell+Alienware, HP+Voodoo...which leaves who, Toshiba? I can't really think of any others at the moment.

I'd say sony more so than toshiba, because toshiba does have the x205 systems- aren't great but good starters w/ 8700's and dual 8600's, but sony has been focusing more on mobility with thinner notebooks that have good multimedia performance and battery life, but they do need a powerhouse or few to get an edge on the broadening notebook market slowly pushing away desktops...
-
Oh yeah, Sony would be a good a canidate since they have zilch for gaming systems. Good call bigjohnsonforever.
