I have a W110 that is getting a little long in the tooth. I usually use it with an external keyboard, but recently went to use it on the go and found that there were some problems with the keyboard - some keys don't seem to register, others register only with multiple presses. It's an annoying problem, and it's something I'd like to fix before I sell it so I don't have to take a big hit for selling a broken machine that's otherwise in pretty decent shape.

I've got a letter in to Sager, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is an easy fix - is this something I can clean or easily replace without having to send it in to the factory?

You may want to get a can of compressed air and blow under the keyboard. There could be things that have fell in over time which are blocking the keys from fully compressing. If you're comfortable opening up and removing the keyboard to check you can do that too.

I can't think of any common issues that I can suggest trying.

If it is a problem with they keyboard they may be able to send one directly to you for you to replace yourself. If you do not hear back from Sager soon contact your original reseller (if it wasn't Sager).

If it's an electrical issue with the keyboard, it's going to need replaced. You can try blowing it out, but I suspect the issue will persist until the keyboard is swapped out altogether.
