    Who sells this laptop with a matte screen? I remember hearing people say they got one with a matte screen but I checked Xotic, AVA and a few others and they all offer glossy only. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Eurocom sells them with matte panels as well. The model display we use for matte is AUO B116XW03 V1.

    Is this screen any brighter cdm wise than the glossy one?

    Super Clear Ultra Bright? A price of 189.00 is a whole lot for just leaving the glossy stuff off.

    I was looking at the link for amazon since I have ordered this laptop already but want a matte screen too. The thing that stops me from ordering that link from amazon is that it doesn't say its a "matte" screen and in here: b116xw03 LCD Screens (10) ScreenTek Inventory Search
    you can clearly see that the the numbering is used for the glossy and the matte. The only difference is that the matte is written like so: B116XW03 V.1 HW1A ... so I really am confused. Also, that numeration is difficult to come by and order through the internet, so does someone know for a fact and has SEEN the one from amazon that it IS a MATTE screen? or just provide any proof that it is... I am from Puerto Rico and I really can't afford sending back the screen, I must be sure before I purchase. Thank you.

    the problem isn't really ordering the real screen.... the problem is installing it................... one certain person knows what I mean :rolleyes:

    I did see the link from amazon, but that's what i'm saying. No where is says that is IS a MATTE screen, and from what i learned they have the same item number. If there's something i'm missing in the amazon page that says that it IS matte, please point it out. Otherwise, help me search the internet if you could... though I've already spent alot of time on it lol... i was only able to get to screentek.com and I have to call them for a price quote, and when i do, they hang up :(

    Couldn't make it easier and more clear for him. thanks :)

    I don't know of any 17" IPS screen and I'm not even sure the NP9710 will support such a screen.. one would be better off buying a IPS monitor and hooking it up, click HERE!
    - and to be fair HTWingNut actually found the screen, all I did was proof that it indeed was a matte/anti-glare screen surface. Give him some credit and rep ;)
