    good morning all,

I'm trying to get my laptop to work correctly and have been having problems. I originally purchased a w110er a few years back, and thoroughly enjoyed it. A while ago I lent it to a family member because they needed a portable machine for quicken and whatnot. After a year of having it, they returned it and now when I load up a game, it turns off almost a minute in. I'm running Intel burn test, and at 100% load I'm in the mid 70s for temps. When I load msi kombustor I end up hitting 93 degrees Celsius before it turns off. Right now I don't have any over clocking, custom bios, or anything to add to performance. I also use some compressed air to spray out the board and fans. It did not help at all.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm stuck right now. I'm thinking of doing a complete install of windows 8 and a bios mod, but I'm not sure how much that will help.

Your temps sound good and cleaning it out was a good next step. I would next reapply the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU. IC Diamond is highly recommended.
