    EDIT: W150HN, sorry.
Hey guys, been lurker on the forums, finally posting today. I have an issue, and I sent this exact email to an XoticPC tech support guy, but he hasn't been very helpful. I've tried connecting to an external monitor, but here goes:

My laptop has been working beautifully for the last 18 months, until recently. This morning I discovered that my laptop will not boot, POST, with or without a hard drive. I thought my RAM had failed, but after swapping out RAM in both slots, nothing happened. I've also tried booting without the battery, using only AC power. The only thing I haven't done is clear the CMOS, which I assume I can do by removing the button battery for 15 seconds. Currently, when I try to boot using the power button, the "VGA" button/light glows orange, as does the "performance mode" light/indicator, as well as the bluetooth indicator. The hard drive activity light flashes for a couple of seconds, then stops. What's interesting is, that the GPU and CPU heat up VERY quickly, causing the internal fan to come on very quickly after an attempted boot. To be clear, the indicator lights come on, and the hard drive activity light flashes, but the screen remains black. Thanks for the support, a quick response is appreciated, I'm a student and do 95% of my work on this laptop, which I cannot currently access due to this booting issue.

    Thanks for any help.

I don't know what could be wrong, but I would suggest making sure the hard drive isn't corrupt. If it isn't, and you RMA the laptop, remove the hard drive or back it up so you can continue your work.
