I am just wondering if the W170 has any kind of facial recognition software that enables the correct user to log in only? I just need an extra bit of security on the notebook as it doesnt have a fingerprint reader.

    Thanks.

you can download facial recognition software to use as long as you have a webcam attached. I think KeyLemon is a good one to use...I'm gonna install that when my laptop arrives.

Pretty much the same as above.

KeyLemon is your best bet. The trial version has something like 32 uses before prompting you to buy. I think there are 3 versions you can buy. But, a colleague of mine has it and uses the bronze version which cost him $19.99/14 euro.

There is a cheaper version for $9 but I think it's really basic. Bells and whistles further up the chain.

Only others I can think of are manufacturer based....

    Lenovo Veriface
Something from Dell and Asus, which ain't gonna be much help.
