They all seem to have their pros and cons, seems almost ridiculously so that the difference between the P150 and P151 is a 180w vs 120w psu and backlit vs nonbacklit keyboard and the rubberized vs hard plastic.
Is that really worth $200?
And is it really worth it to choose the p151 over the W350? W350 seems to have a better keyboard and bezel and overall design than the P151.
I really wish the 151, 150 and 350 all had a baby and made my perfect laptop. I hate the glossy bezel of the 151/150 and the weird keyboard that is used, but I wanted more power than a 660 and more bang for my buck.
I'm so confused.

p151 you cannot upgrade the graphics card, so you are stuck with 670m, which in most cases isnt enough for most of the gamers who want a mobile platform. p150 you can go up to 680 and 7970 and with the option to maybe upgrade it to nvidia 700s and amd 8000s next year. i think w350 can only use the 660m?
you get used to the keyboard of the 150m i guess, i got it less than 2 weeks and kinda getting used to it -
-
really? thats pretty cheap, which reseller, can you link please? i got my 150em with 675m for 1470, but i had the 1 day rush and 500gb hybrid drive, and shipping fees
-
I removed the hard drive (-80) and there's a $100 MIR, and a free windows 8 upgrade, it's not a bad deal at all. -
i think that 100 MIR is already applied, though i am not sure
edit: regular price is 1599, 1499 is already after the MIR is applied i think -
-
but you see on the front page of that, it says 1599 + 100 MIR = 1499. i think they do that to make it seem cheaper

-
oh yeah true, there is an autumn sales going on i think, my bad
also do they rebate in cash or a prepaid visa?
-
I wish they would have made the 675m default on the 150, since there's a $200 price gulf between the 151 and 150 with no real differences that warrant that high of a price. -
Well $100 difference between, so I assume they charge $100 for the design difference. The rubber stuff actually feels really good. Also the backlit keyboard loks really good and gotta factor in the price diff of power supply

I know this isnt about the topic but since theres been some questions about the rebate. There is another $100 mail in rebate you get from MSI which is on top of the instant rebate shown.

You can change almost anything in it. The only real difference from the P151 and P150 is the keyboard, the finish and slight internal difference. -

Upgrading to a 100W TDP card isn't officially supported but several people have been able to do so. You will need to get a stronger AC Adapter if you do so.

Just a couple things: the w350 also has a glossy display bezel and I'm pretty sure it uses the same keyboard layout as the p151em. Personally I would get the p151 because after the recent price drop of the p151, its only like $50 more expensive than the w350 and you get better cooling and upgradable graphics. The downside of course is that you lose a hdd bay and its a pound heavier, but it's worth it imo.

Don't thin we will know until nvidia or sager release the info about the connectors

just to echo other's who have possibly been incorrectly "corrected"
according to my local Clevo supplier the P151EM1 (presume this is the same as P151EM please provide proof if not - ie. link to source??) does not have an MXM slot and thus the graphics is not upgradable, the P150EM does have an MXM slot and thus can be upgraded. -

I considered the same notebooks before finally deciding on the W350, although the 9150 was always over my budget. I actually preferred the 2 HD bays of the W350 over the mSATA slots in the NP91XX models, and the slightly slimmer and lighter chassis (although it isn't much). This notebook is surprisingly portable, although I don't transport it daily and really only move it around my home and outside occasionally. I opted to configure it with the Crucial M4 256 GB SSD as my primary with Windows 7 installed to avoid a hassle in the future, and then installed my WD conventional 750 GB a few weeks later for storage. Although the SSD won't help much in gaming (and I install my games on the WD anyways for space) it will substantially speed up load times, startup, file transfers, and general OS tasks. I really notice the difference when using computers that run off conventional drives.
The GTX 660M GPU was a compromise, and I would have preferred something a bit more future proof or upgradable. With that being said I am a moderate gamer and have a small child so I don't have too much time on my hands anymore! With Prema's BIOS update I can squeeze a bit of extra juice out of it and get most games (Shogun 2, Deus EX HR, Fallout NV, etc) to run on high settings, and that is more than enough for me. Also it is worth noting that the GTX 660M is surprisingly cool and efficient. OCed it never exceeds 64° C on my notebook, and with Optimus I can get good battery life and not sacrifice performance. Honestly I couldn't be happier with the W350ETQ, but everyone's needs are different. If you require portability (and the extra 2.5 HD bay for expansion) over GPU power then I would recommend the W350, you won't be disappointed. If you are a hard core gamer, and are looking for a desktop replacement that can be upgraded then go with the NP91XX series. If you have the luxury of waiting a few months you could always wait for the new line from Clevo which will offer the Nvidia 700 series GPU and possibly Haswell CPUs, the successor Ivy Bridge.
