    Hello,

the point of this thread is basically just to get attention of @XMG since I don't have 5 posts to be able to pm them directly :) . Anyways I guess I can share what's the problem... So I've tried booting up my XMG A504 today only to find out it shutdowns in about a second. Moreover, if it was plugged in, it would keep booting and shutdowning indefinitely. Normally I'd try to fix the problem by myself but this one seemed a bit tricky so I reluctantly went to a PC repair shop. After tearing open my laptop, removing basically everything we could, replacing CMOS battery and whatnot, it was still a mistery on what the real problem was. But then I remembered that the screen would sometimes flicker or went black for a few seconds. We've found out that the LVDS cable (the connector part) was pretty worn out and probably shortcutting the motherboard or something. Like how crazy is that, bad LVDS cable being the cause of laptop not being able to boot up? :D

Soo yeaa we've temporarily fixed it by securing it a bit better on the motherboard, but I'll probably need a new one quite soon. Unfortunatelly I had no luck finding it on ebay, probably because Clevo W355SS is kinda old. If @XMG you could help me find it, I'd be very grateful.

    Best regards
    Benjamin

I hope this qualifies as a quality post btw... :p

    Your GPU is dead.

at least thats way more likely than LVDS cable shorting the board.

Oh right, my GPU is indeed very much dead.

As I've said, while I do appreciate it, I don't really need any advice. I just want @XMG to notice and hopefully pm me about possible LVDS cable replacement. :)

    2/5 quality posts, progress!
