Hi all, I have recently purchased a W355SS from a local retailer here is Australia, but I noticed it has problem booting up under low room temperature (say under 16 Celsius degrees). It either shows a blank screen or hang during POST, but a hard shut down then pressing the power button again would make it boot normally . I have tried to send it back to the retailer but because they are based in Queensland. the temperature was much higher there and couldn't reproduce the problem.

I have tried updating the bios, resetting the bios to no avail.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have this problem with my car from time to time when it's cold. Just give the laptop a little gas and the ECU should take over from there. :p

Okay, but seriously: Are you able to record this happening and email the video to your reseller? That's the only way you'll be able to prove it to them, unless their temps drop low enough to test for it.

Tell them to put it in a fridge set to a warming temperature. Sounds like a weak solder joint some where.
