I'm considering purchasing this laptop model, and I like a lot about it, parts, price, weight, etc, but I haven't seen much about noise. To anyone that's been around them or has one, when gaming, what's the noise like compared to say an alienware, which I think sound like jet engines or at least room fans going when they get warm.

Hey AndrewM72, check out our video review on the system to give you an idea of the noise profile. It's not very loud at all in my opinion.

Honestly from what I came from (NP5797) it is virtually silent while idle/web browsing. The loudest thing is my secondary hard drive. While gaming, it's still not even that loud (to me at least). The fan is not high pitched, so it's more of a general woosh sound.
