    Hi there,

I'm a proud owner of a W860CU with a HD6970m. The card runs really fine but anyway there is a problem with the general gpu temp (GPU Thermal Diode in HWInfo / GPU Temperature in GPU-Z). With my old graphics card (5870m), the general gpu temp was the hottest diode. Now, the general gpu temp seems to be always the GPU TS0 in HWInfo / GPU Temp. #1 in GPU-Z.

I assume, that the GPU fan speed depends on the general gpu temp. Is there a modified EC or a Bios that corrects this behaviour? I have read from a special Eurocom Bios version (1.00.18EU44 or something like that) here in the forum but I never found it.

Yes the general GPU temp is Temp. #1 in GPU-Z. I looked it up in HWMonitor and it is the same. I think this goes for all versions of this card though.

If you ever get your hands on that Eurocom Bios I would be very pleased if you could post it in the owners lounge. Would be interesting to see what the difference is.

I emailed the Eurocom support tonight and asked them some things including the question if the 18EU44 is equal to the 18tr bios. They answered me all my questions but not this one.

That's the reason why I'm thinking, that there is no difference between these two bios, apart the name.
