    8690 uses a 9.5mm one. Mine should be delivered tommorrow or the next day, shall try to see if it fits, if not, I have some CNC machines downstairs to cut it into shape lol.

    The ODD bay is 12.7mm, so the caddy linked should fit fine.

    Several sellers offer the option to put a hdd in the dvd bay for the D901C and D900F.

    What about an external HDD docking station via esata? Some of them offer RAID technology
