Which of these would you choose and why (im leaning towards the 1st one)?
Prices are just for comparison (but the differeces in prices in getting them at are still roughly the same), so dont look at that only, but take them in account when looking at the choices.

    The first one.
It's one of the cheapest and you only really need 4GB's of RAM.

Why not upgrade the screen since you're getting blu-ray? Helps with resale value also.

I would rather go for a 80 GB SSD and second 320/500 GB HDD. The rest is all good, but you need to get 1920x1080 res. Is this from MySN ?

Its from MySn yes (i think theyre the only ones with the non-glare screen).. i dont intend to get the full-HD screen becouse:
    1) Everything is too small already on my 17" d900f at 1920x1200, and i dont want to scale down, since i know the difference in picture quality between native and scaled
    2) I want a non-glare screen and noone offers a 1920x1080 non-glare
    3) Ill gain a few fps at games (though thats not my main reason for doing this).

Ill prolly take the 1st one than :)

Blacky there is only 1 HD in the W860CU, youre prolly thinking of the W870CU..

Option 1, but without the BluRay. And agree totally about the resolution. And matte screen.

Each config misses the mark some how, I would go for none of them.

I will get 1 with DVD instead of blu-ray, because blu-ray is a total waste of money right now. 4 with 8gb of ram is overkill and not worth it with price of 4gb a piece ram.

Id like to have the Blu-Ray reader, since its not so expensive anymore and i do need it sometimes, but the burner is a waste for me since i dont write any bds or dvds at all..
I also think the 8gb option is overpriced, but it would let me turn off virtual ram which is realy bad for ssds.. And i want a good ssd (since i got spoiled having them for a long time now) but i am a bit worried i will run out of those 160gb (and i dont like external hds)..

Ditch the dvd altogether and get a cd bay hd adapter and put a large storage drive in it for you data that wont fit on the ssd.

HellCry: Sorry, I've misread and I thought you were getting a W870CU. Then yeah, the 160GB SSD is good. If you really want a lot of RAM, go with 6GB and you can always upgrade later with another 4 GB stick if you feel it is necessary. Your arguments for a 1600x900 are solid, so go with that. I would also argue in favour of a Blu-ray reader, I actually use it because I rent Blu-rays from time to time.

@sp-1: You mean put a HD in the optical drive bay and get an external dvd drive? Is that bay even Sata II or not? And i dont even know where i could get such an adapter.. MySn doesnt have this option.. And if you look at it this way.. you still have an external device, although if it were Sata II it would be a bit better to have a HD in there, since i dont use the optical drive as much..
@Blacky: 6GB isnt an option at MySn.. and id have to buy the exact same 4gb stick later if i wanted to upgrade to 8gb from that and theres no guarantee ill get the same one once id decide to upgrade..

I DON'T think you need to buy the exact same stick. I am pretty sure you don't need to actually.

Usually you dont NEED to, but its recommended to, and ive had problems when 2 different sticks didnt work together.. so if you have a high end system i dont think you should mix different sticks..

Yes that is what I meant; I plan to do this soon. Once I get around to it I will report back and let you know how it goes. Just buy the laptop with the optical drive then swap out later. I virtually never use my optical bay. All my games are wow or steam so no disk, and any video I watch with a disk is on my tv.
