when using the adapter to run the laptop, does the battery Needs to be in the battery bay or can it be removed while running on adaptor?

You can operate the notebook plugged in with or without the battery installed.

its a good idea to remove the battery if you are using the mains power for long periods of time. this will prolong the life of the battery.
there is a battery monitor that i use but i cant get the link as im at work now.
    ill add the link later.

thank MrDJ for pointing that rule of thumb regarding the battery and that is the reason y i asked. i want to make sure i can prolong the usage of the battery since clevo systems are one battery hogger/eater.

If you're going to remove the battery, make sure you discharge it to about 40% and store it in a cool(ish) place. Keeping it at full charge tends to be bad for lithium-ion (and I assume lithium-polymer) batteries.

found out that if u use the adapter without the battery in bay, your laptop will be missing a leg and will be tilting.
