    Hey all,

I'm having some issues with my screen doing some weird things when I play games. Anytime I play demanding games (Planetside 2, Skyrim, Far Cry 3, etc.) the screen will begin to flicker, then turn off (some times it just turns off).

I should clarify that it is the graphics that turn off, the backlight and screen remain on and operating, but it is either pitch black or white (sometimes flickering between the two).

I don't believe it is a driver problem, or a GPU problem as it persisted after updating to Windows 8, and when displaying on an external monitor there is problem whatsoever.

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

did you mean to write no problem whatsoever.
if so it could well be the ribbon cable from the motherboard to the screen.
hopefully someone with more knowledge (Meaker) can advise better than me.
