So I've been out of the loop for a while with the new tech, but I see that the new mobile series 5 chipsets are out with the core i7's. I also see that apparently Intel has dropped support for Robson 'Turbo Memory'.
My question is what does everyone know about the Braidwood tech? Also, what does everyone know about it's potential release? I am reading alternatively online that it will a)not come out for P55 chipset, but will for P57 or b)not come out at all and intel has dropped the P57 or c)Intel has dropped turbo memory tech completely.
I ask because I notice that the W860CU/W870CU doesn't ship with turbo memory at all. Any thoughts? (on release, not on whether turbo memory helps or sucks!)

As far as I know, Braidwood will only work with the P57. And yes, the P57 will come out with Arrandale as Arrandale uses IGP and will need a different chipset to deal with that.

Who the f*ck uses Intel Turbo Memory? Intel Turbo Memory is like the poor man's mini SSD.

I read somewhere recently that Braidwood was canned for the upcoming chipsets. Something about "lack of results" lol

It seems the P57 was just going to be the P55 with Braidwood, but confusingly now I am seeing P55 boards with slots for the turbo memory already there.

In a side comment, I am trying to find specs, but I can't see how the H57, Q57 and H55 chipsets will be any different from the current P55. -

Found it. Even though the mobo's already have it built in, Intel has some software issues.
