I have a Clevo W870CU with GTX 285M and I want to connect my notebook to 2 external LCD monitors. I was wondering how I can do that since there is only one HDMI and one DVI port. What adapters can I use to accomplish this, and is it only possible with DVI or can it be done with HDMI as well? Please note I don't want to spend a fortune.

I don't believe you can without an external video card.

So the GTX 285M inside the laptop is incapable of hooking up multiple external monitors?
-
The way the internals are connected is the problem. I haven't seen anyone with a nvidia or ati pull it off yet. I tried and failed too.

maybe some kind of adaptor will work

matrox dualhead2go/triplehead2go should work

I just Googled those products. They are extremely expensive, $200 and up.

Are you talking about mobile version of the graphic cards or does it apply to desktop versions as well?
