    Hi there,
ordering a laptop with i5 560M and 8Gigs 1333Mhz RAM (2 x 4Gb). However, i5 supports 1066MHz only. Would they still work, but at lower clocks? Also, it would be possible to swap manually the CPU later on (i5 to i7), right?

Yah it should just run at a lower speed, might end up being faster timings if it does that.

All of the memory shipping now is 1333MHz. It will just downclock if you are going with a i-5 cpu. The 740, 840, 940 CPU's will run at 1333... :)

How easy is it to upgrade a CPU from i5-560M to a quad i7 one? The mainboard in Clevo's 870 supports the i7 (socket)? Right?

It's reltively easy if you have any experience working inside computers. The service manual is in my sig if you want to have a look at the procedure.

Who's the manufacturer of the RAM, any information on this one, please? Corsair or some other major RAM supplier? Or some cheap one?
