Just installed it. Doesn't need a modified inf with the 560m. :)

Last time I tried the non WHQL drivers, it almost completely borked my system and my GTX 460 disappeared until I physically removed and replaced the card.

    Hopefully WHQL turns out better.

supposedly the 280.19 was whql as well, but not released as it though.

edit: on laptop video 2 go they have 280.28, must be a typo

Installed. Did nothing for me. 2299 3DMark11 on previous drivers (forgot to remember version, was from April). 2300 on new drivers.

I'm not that surprised there are no real performance gains. WHQL releases are usually not as aggressive as betas and are geared toward stability and compatibility at the cost of speed tweaks.

The 280.28 mentioned on ltv2g is a developer beta for OpenGL 4.2, they also have the 280.26 WHQL posted there too.

There also was a 280.19 WHQL for Quadro right after the 280.19 beta, but not a WHQL for GeForce.

Also as it's been pointed out, since the 280.19 beta all of the current Clevo cards are present in the stock infs, so once again I'll mothball my inf topic for the time being.

so basically this new 280.26 driver is exactly the same as the 280.19 driver, but they waited for the whql certification process to be completed.

It may have some slight adjustments since the 280.19 beta given the number jump but they'd likely be very minimal if any, still I find it preferable to update to a WHQL when it's the current revision leader and for those seeking stability reassurance.

Can someone translate this thread into simple English for us less technical folks?

    1) Are these safe to install for 580Ms?
    2) Do they required a Mod INF?
    3) Do they work with SLI, or do they remove that option from the control panel?

    Thanks! :)

Thanks for the last two people who responded. Aduy, why would you have responded for #2, "sorry no"? Isn't it better that the driver doesn't require a modded INF? Curious.

    Thanks!

Do the WHQL 280.26 drivers support the 3D screen and internal 3dvision for 580m's in the P170HM3 (NP8170-3D)? or is it a bios issue from clevo?
