Jeeez that's really bad news for me if those prices are correct, much to get a sandy bridge with 6990m

USD will be much like it has been for the launch of most every recent Clevo....

    ~$1.7k with the AMD GPU
    ~$2.1k with the NVD GPU

....unless Nvidia drops the prices on the rebranded GTX 675M.

If that's the case then there isn't much reason for me to be waiting for the next generation of CPU/GPU. 1.7k is over my budget. Do the prices of the older generation usually change when the new is introduced?

Those prices are for the 150EM, the 151EM will likely be a few hundred cheaper like the current models are staggard..

Of course the previous gen will be cheaper, if you can find them. They be phased out from the resellers so you'll likely be buying used..

never use direct conversions like that. People try that with cars and find it'll always be cheaper. Hell everything in the US is cheaper than in the UK.

I'm very eager to hear more news about this. I finally sold my old gateway gaming laptop on the weekend (1.5 months of trying) and went to configure a NP8130 only to see that it has been removed from Sager's website. Came close to ordering the NP8150, but then read about the possible news coming this week for the refresh. Depending what the news is, I may or may not place my order for the NP8150.

It is speculated that they will be showing the new lineup at CeBIT, which begins tomorrow.
Again, this is purely speculation, but keep your eyes glued to CeBIT news just in case.

I'm actually looking at the 170HM right now (I'm replacing my old desktop replacement laptop), which I assume would be more then the 150 would be. Guess I better make my decision pretty quick then

I noticed a similar issue with another European site claiming to sell the p150em. It was showing both a backlit kb and non-backlit chiclet kb for the same model. Also, this was a redirect from clevo.fr, which I recently learned is an unauthorized website that is not affiliated with Clevo. It's fishy to say the least.

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone know if the p150em will offer both Sandy and Ivy bridge options?

The site I came across last week have the p150EM for sale with the Ivy Bridge chipset but a Sandy cpu with only one option for a vcard being a gtx 675m...

So my guess is yes until the sandy supply runs dry.

I'm hoping the p150em is released sooner rather than later because my computer is literally falling apart and it's not going to last much longer. I'm really interested to see what news turns up this week.

GTRagnarok Great! Hawkforce.de has the IVB CPU in the config:

    Intel ® Core i7 3720QM 2.6/3.6GHz 6 Мb HD4000

Also, according to german reseller both laptops share NONGLARE displays! That would be awesome to see matte screens at stock on both 15" and 17"-chers)

    CLEVO - News

Clevo doesn't seem to be happy with some sites leaking info. Or maybe the info is not accurate.
