Should I wait for windows 8 to buy a P150EM? I'm not in a hurry to buy a new laptop and I was wondering if there might be some new revisions or BIOS updates for windows 8 or anything different if I wait for the new version of windows

Good question, would like to know how Windows 8 performs with the current games too (Compatibility etc), and for those who have used Windows 8 before: Windows 7 and Windows 8, which one do you recommend?

I am currently using windows 8. I hate it. the modifications to the UI are gimmicky and the only benefit i could see from the metro ui is if you were running windows on a tablet. There are no performance boosts and I encounter a lot of compatibility issues. Only reason I haven't downgraded is that you need to do a clean install to get back to 7. I'd pass.

It will be a decent amount of time before Windows 8 will be implemented in the gamer community.. :) although several applications already begin to support it.

Wait or not, up to you, if I were you I would wait :D why not.

it boots up, shuts down and wakes from sleep significantly more quickly than Windows 7. Its overall a bit lighter than 7 even though the startmenu changes are stupid.

But I don't think any hardware is going to change between 7 and 8 so if you buy soon and update when it releases you'll be fine.
If you buy in November or whenever it is officially out the only negative I can see is that the clevo chassis will be ~6 months old and the rumour mill will start with next years model.

Moral of the story, with technology, no matter when you buy, there is always something better just around the corner so 90% of the time I don't advise waiting ( the other 10% being when a product is 1-2 months before the end of its cycle such as buying a sandy bridge in march-april)

Kind of hard to get any feel for Windows 8 other then looks. The current release will undoubtedly be full of bugs, glitches, and in a huge need of tweaks for optimal performance.

Personally, I think Windows 8 sucks from what I've seen... However, if you plan on waiting till the OEM product arrives coupled with your laptop, that may take quite a while! If you're waiting however, for the discounted upgrade plan microsoft provides with newer Windows 7 purchases (not sure if it applies only to retail), I'd suggest you not take this route, as many besides me would suggest upgrading the OS doesn't usually work out very well, as opposed to a clean install...
