Everywhere i go, Wants me to pay via wire transfer, Or money order, Or western union, NONE OF THESE LEAVE BEHIND ANY REAL RECEIPT, If i'm paying out this kind of money, I want to know EXACTLY where it's going and have a physical/tangible copy incase something godforbid goes wrong

    Sagernootbooks.com
    Xoticpc
    Origin
    Powernotebooks

All One of the above 3 for australians, Someone give me a reputable non overcharging place to purchase from that does direct debit, or paypal.

Go to p4laptops.com.au and browse Metabox laptops. Look for Metabox Prime P570WM. Metabox is an Australian Clevo reseller, P4laptops is their distributor.

Thanks for the link, I love their site, ANd it has pickup (Only 50km's from me too so it's cheaper to go grab it) But i'll have to sacrifice a few things to pay for the increased costs..

    Ideally i wanted a Np9570/570pwm with the quad core 4820k 16GB of ddr3 (4x4) with one 780m and a 120hz display but that's now 1k more expensive

My must haves are a 780m( single, No need for SLI) 120hz display. Everything else is optional aside from it being 17inchs

Take into account the GST in Australia (which you would have to pay at customs if you ordered the laptop from the US), plus the shipping costs from the US and you will come up with a price comparable to the US price.

With P4laptops and Metabox you have the comfort of an Australian warranty. It also makes it a lot easier to upgrade anything, should you want it in the future.

Actually that is with shipping and customs taken into account, The saving grace here is, I ~don't~ have to order ram or a operating system or Hard drives (I've got all of that) where as those places don't give you the option of not ordering.

I just compared Xoticpc price with P4laptops and you are right, there's over a $1000 difference. I have no idea why it's so much. Maybe you should give them a call and ask, and try to negotiate a bit. After all, you want to order a top-of-the-line laptop...

At the moment i am still doing shopping, I wont have the money to spend until next week, That being said i am happy to hear reccemendations on units from P4laptops, As given i can Pick it up from them and an australian warrenty, I'm half sold, As i said all i want, Is 780M, 120hz screen, The rest is negociable, Though i would also prefer the following

    Backlit keyboard with changable colours
    glossy screen if doable
    atleast 2 HDD bays + odd(bluray)
Durable case, Preferable made with tough plastic or an aluminum shell, Don't want my new toy getting hurt afterall.

I would consider Metabox Prime P370SM3 if I were you.

I comes with 120Hz screen, GTX780M as a default option, 120GB Samsung EVO SSD, 16GB RAM and 7260-AC WiFi. It has 2 HDD bays, 2 mSATA slots and an ODD. It has a built-in 3D IR emitter and is NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 compatible, it also comes with a pair of shutter glasses. The only thing you would miss out on is desktop vs mobile CPU (the P370SM3 comes with Haswell i7-4700MQ by default). All that for AU$2629.

Mythlogic takes PayPal, have this model with a 3D screen (mail them) and use a tweaked version of my BIOS Mod... ;)

EDIT: Just saw that you are "down under"... check Metabox, Horize (Logical Blue One)...

Honestly the 7260AC from intel is a downgrade compared to anything else offered, That card (I bought one for my current laptop off ebay a few weeks ago) is an absolute nightmare, constant drop outs, Connectivity issues, It has issues maintaining N speeds When its in the same room as the router, Let alone AC

    Tp-link AC1750 router btw

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences. Perhaps driver updates from Intel will solve some or all of your issues with the wireless LAN.
You can always configure your new laptop with a different WiFi card though. :)

That's the plan, i'll shoot em an email and see if they can lower the price, Because if they can knock a tad off it, i'll buy it for sure.

So I guess there wont be a AC-capable wifi for me next year. If its that bad....then I will stay with 6235 + bluetooth as I am now.

There's always a chance, that by next year (or early into it) all the issues with AC WiFi will be resolved by driver or firmware updates.

I have heard of some people having issues with the 7260ac, but then there are many others that are not having issues. Makes me wonder if it is a router or enviroment issue. I felt comfortable enough, that I just ordered the np8275 with the 7260ac.

I am in the middle of nowhere, I have the only wireless network around, Both 2.4G and 5G, And in line of sight (and 4 feet of the router)

There must be something wrong with your 7260, or your setup. The 7260, when working properly, is better than the rest...better range, more stable connectivity and blazing speed (2 to 3 times faster than the rest).

Please don't put the card down because of your single experience with it...get your setup fixed.

It has been absolutely amazing for me, like unbelievably amazing in comparison to my other laptops. I use ASUS RT-AC66U router and 7260AC is beating any other wireless device in speed, it's almost identical to wired connection with no drops.

Per the OP and not the wireless card. For bank wire transfer your bank should give you a receipt. I can understand being turned off by a payment method you're probably never done before or at most only a couple times. But give your bank a call and see what they can provide for you in terms of a receipt. It least it would be a receipt as when you deposit money into your account or withdrawl. They are also very safe as they are a direct bank to bank payment. The largest downfall of a bank wire is that your bank may charge you to send one, you'll want to ask them about any fees.

You do have to consider that resellers are known entities, many of the big names on here have been around for a long time. Fraud is a problem in this industry and we would leave ourselves totally open to it by accepting some payment methods from abroad.

As Hutsady says you can get a receipt from the bank and evidence of a transfer and I am sure all resellers would be happy to phone and confirm receipt of funds.

Every other wireless device works at full speed with no issues, My ultimate 6300 doesn't have issues, Hell Ancient G interface devices (My first gen ipod touch) doesn't have issue's, only the 7260, And i'm not the only person to have issues with it, There are speed tests on the forum where it has 4mbit downstream 190mbit upstream, And if you check the intel forums it's all over the place.

As per the statement above, While it may work for you, It has yet to do anything but crap it's own pants for me, 1/10 i'd not reccomend this peice of kit to my worst enemy.

My bank gave me three receipts. One when I did the transaction at the bank. One via email when it processed. And one via regular mail a few days later. My wife opened the regular mail one... glad I had told her about it before hand O.O

So you bought a defective card off of eBay...use your warranty, unless your seller didn't sell you one that would carry the Intel warranty. No need to use filthy childish language when there are ways to resolve the issue. Next time, buy it from an authorized Intel dealer :)

We don't phone to confirm receipt of the Bank Wire Transfer (T.T.), but we do send an email confirmation which is better because it is in writing.

And what childish filthy language would you be refering to? Last i checked, i havn't cussed in my posts, Or called anyone names, I think you need to get off my back, And i got my card from PCCASEGEAR, which is a premium supplier for all things computer related.

And again, I am not the only one with issues, The chances that hundreds of people have defective cards, I'm sorry but that's not a co-incidence, Intel has driver issues plain and simple and that's what makes the card worthless until they fix them.

And i would expect someone who is representing a company on a forum, To be a tad more civil, Just saying.

That being said, I've been browsing the Powernotebooks site again, I am unsure as to why it asks to choose a sales rep, Or none at all, Is that so someone gets a commission or what? (If p4laptops don't lower the price a tad, I'll just go with power notebooks)

We put the Sales Advisor choice there for those people who have already been working with someone here, either through email or the phone. If you haven't, just leave it at No Preference and a Sales Advisor will be assigned to you.
