If I buy a laptop from XoticPC or PowerNotebooks, is the warrantee offered technically from Sager? So if I have problems with my notebook down the line, do I send it into Sager or do I send it to XoticPC/PowerNotebooks for repair?

You would first call our Free Lifetime 24/7 DOMESTIC Support (or email them) if your model qualifies for it, and if they cannot resolve your issue they will escalate it to a Sager factory technician. If your model does not qualify for the 24/7 support then you would contact Sager directly. (Currently, only the PowerPro and Force models, and the Sager NP5793 and NP9262 qualify for 24/7 support. If you bought your laptop before June of this year, check with us to see if you qualify)

If the Sager factory technician determines it needs to come back to the Sager factory for warranty (or even out of warranty) repair they will issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization with shipping instructions to send it in to them.

Thanks Paladin, and one more question. Let's say that I buy from your business and then you happen to go out of business a year later. How do I go about recieving my warrantee (or non-warrantee) service from Sager? Do I just contact them directly?

If i recall I think that Sager backs their reseller's (Xotic PNB) warranties.

The serial #can also be used for proof of warranty with Sager. :)

Dreidel, look at the company at the top, top left side of the following page:

    http://www.resellerratings.com/topstores.pl

I don't think Paladin/PowerNotebooks is going out of business any time soon.

You're lucky to have such good choices from which to buy a new machine. Doubtful in my mind, that you'll have problems with either of these guys or their companies.

Well its a fair question but yeah, these are not fly by night companies or shady like an ibuypower.com. I have a powernotebooks.com lappy from 4 years ago and to this day I've used (or more accurately abused) that 24/7 lifetime support policy. Its great to speak to an actual American on a Saturday morning who isn't reading off a script.

Ya they certainly look very personable. I am considering either a Sager notebook or an Asus this summer for my college laptop.

It's gonna come down to who releases what the fastest and price/performance.

Keep in mind that if you purchase an ASUS you will have to contact ASUS customer service for questions, not the reseller as warranties are only available from ASUS themselves on their laptops.
