Warranty?

Hi everyone,
How many people here have bought the extra warranty for sager/cleo labtops?
I cant seem to sum up is it well worth getting the extra warranty.
I am thinking of the NP9130/P151EM1. Mostly for on the go quickie photo/video editing. Maybe D3 once a while since I dont play FPS. I am just wondering how many people had their notebook outlast their warranty.

 

I'm sure plenty of people have ha their laptops outlast their warranties.. The thing is, say for some reason your GPU goes out in year three. Say it's a $400 GPU.. Is the $150 now worth preventing you from paying a few hindered more in a few years? No one can say how long your particular components are going to last.. Ultimately it's your decision

 

Depends on how often you like to upgrade to new machines.

The main thing extended warranty adds is resale value. If you want a new laptop in [insert # of years], having it under warranty for one more brings a huge premium to you as the seller.

Even if you plan to keep it until it dies, the 2-yr plan is a no-brainer. I can't tell you how many times I've had an issue pop up right at the end of year one. Many people out there will tell you the same sad tale.

 

i did and im glad i did. as mentioned my 9800GT died last year on year 3 of my extended warranty. at the time it was £70 for the extra 2 years. the 260gtx which they replaced it with would of cost roughly £200-300 so in my opinion well worth it.
you have to check each resellers warranty cover as a lot are different now. some dont cover parts on the last 3rd year so you have to check whats covered and whats not. mine was bought in the uk so im not sure how american resellers sell their extended warranty.
