If I do not get the "No Dead Pixel" Warranty, and I open the box of my Sager notebook and there are like 15 dead pixels, will they replace it? It sounds kind of stupid, but their tech guys wouldn't give me a solid answer. Thanks :D

I think the standard is like 5 or something?
OT: I must the one of the luckiest guys on the planet because I've never found a single dead pixel on any of my primary laptops. Samsung P-10, T43p, X41 Tablet, 2 MBPs and the current 5793.

I haven't found a dead pixel on any of the screens I ever bought (ancient tft in like '97, dell inspiron 1600x1200 15" back in '99, 2 more inspirons, 2x hyundai imagequest L90D+, 2x clevo m570RU - all going strong still though one of the hyundais did develop a stuck pixel) Although my sister did get one stuck pixel in the lower left of her low end clevo.

If you get the zero dead pixel warranty, then you would be able to ship it back and get a replacement for any dead pixels. If you get the regular dead pixel policy though, then it is no more than 5 dead pixels, otherwise they will replace it.

I ordered a Sager NP5797 over a month ago, when it arrived, it didn't have any dead or hung pixels. I only had the regular "no more than 5" warranty on it.

So, it is not common that you will receive a screen with dead or hung pixels from Sager. I wouldn't worry about getting it, really, because that just an extra $200 down the drain in my opinion. But it is up to you. If you feel that you need this warranty, then at least you are covered in the event that anything does happen.

If you get the no dead pixel warranty, sager will check the screen before it goes out to make sure it doesn't have any dead/stuck pixels (it's cheaper/easier for them to check it first than to send it out, then pay for 2 way shipping for a replacement system if there is a pixel fault).

If you don't get the dp warranty, they will send the system out with whatever screen it has in it, unless they happen to notice 5+ stuck pixels while building/testing the system.
