    Hi guys,

So I just received my Sager and installed all the drivers. However, after I installed the webcam drivers, I can't change any properties like ColorEnable or other things. They're mostly greyed out although I can change brightness and contrast. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Right now, my driver information is: 6.1.7601.17514 from 6/21/2006.

As far as I know, you can't change White Balance, Gain, or ColorEnable options (or anything in the Camera Control tab). Those options are even grayed out in the user manual Clevo ships with the machines, so it's not just a random issue. It appears to be either an unsupported function, or one that just wasn't enabled.

Do you think there will be new drivers that enable them? Because it doesn't seem like the quality is good at all for an advertised 2.0 MP camera.

If the hardware does not physically support those functions, then software will never allow them to work. It's ultimately up to Clevo/the BisonCam software people whether any new versions come out allowing that.

Laptop webcams are always lower quality than a standalone camera because they have to shrink everything down (lens, sensors, etc) and it doesn't leave much room for great optics.

that's really odd. I never tried the webcam program until reading this. I captured a video file and other than the color cast, it looked fine. So I went to the options and tweaked the settings and they all work. wonder why u are having issues??

BTW, i didn't install anything. the program was on my desktop when I got the 8130.
