Week of 20 AUG 2090 shipments

Just wanted to start a new thread regarding the latest shipments of 2090s so that it didn't reference specific resellers and their perceived slow shipment times in the topic line. It should be understood that it's a delay in manufacturing, not in reselling.

Has anyone received a confirmation that 2090s are in stock this week, and has anyone received a confirmation that their 2090 has been shipped? Also, please post your order date.

Justin, or any other resellers, can you confirm any shipments this week?

Ordered from Xotic on 4 AUG, but haven't received any notice yet.

For the record, Xotic has been honest and very responsive to my inquiries. In times and cases like these, customer support is very important.

 

I spoke with a Sager sales rep last week about the 2090 delay and ended up switching to the 5970. The 2090's he told me have a 3 week backorder as of right now.

i was told last week that it would be near the end of august and donald seemed confident of that, but im not holding him to it

 

Ordered last month (forgot exact date... 23rd or something?) from xotic, was moved into Phase 5 Shipped a few days ago, and got a call from UPS telling me to expect it to come in today sometime.

Sager 2090 wsxga+

 

a three week backorder is about right. i ordered mine the 28th from xotic , and its coming tomorrow according to ups tracking. WXGA, no bluetooth, no tv tuner

 

Myne Shipped out today, ordered on JULY 19th

 

Sager resumed shipping the WSXGA+ (without TV Tuners) on August 14th and will continue shipping until all orders have been shipped.

At this point they have more than enough barebones to fill all orders, but there is a shortage of T7300 and T7500 processors (thanks Intel ) and of course the TV Tuners haven't arrived.

I ordered my NP2090 from xotic on July 28th, 2007 with the specs indicated in my signature below. I just recieved confirmation that it shipped yesterday, August 21st and is set to arrive on Monday, August 27th. Approximately 3 weeks for it to ship and 4 for it to be recieved doesn't seem bad at all considering the number of delays and already back-ordered ones when I placed my order. Shiping definitely seems to be picking up.

On a side note for all of those people complaining about the resellers and not living up the dates quoted, I was quoted mid to late August by Justin and Amber at xotic and August 27th falls within this time frame. Their best guess was certainly accurate and I couldn't be happier with the service.

Good luck Dorkus and coachise: Yours will likely be coming soon I would imagine ordering within 4 and 6 days of when I ordered.

 

Ordered Sager NP 2090 from PC torgue on July 26 2007 and recieved it on Aug 23 2007. This machine and PC torgue's service makes up the 4 weeks of long waiting.

 

just wondering, did it have to enter testing before it shipped? how long did that take? I ordered a very similar laptop (just stock 2090-V no tv tuner) dated on the 24th of july and it is still in pre-order pending

 

vcincent you should call up or e-mail your reseller and see if they put through your order or not. It takes awefully long pre-order waiting in your case.

 

I ordered my 2090 this past Wensday and it shipped out late Thursday evening. I ordered the T7700 proc though, so I'm betting of others want their 2090s soon, then they should order either the T7700's or something below the T7300's.

Heh, I'm betting those who have them are enjoying the awesome games they're playing too much to use something like word to craft a review. But we can hope, of course...

 

If it did enter testing first I wasn't notified of it specifically. How did you pay for yours? I payed by Credit Card for the increased insurance and immediate payment to my reseller. If you sent in a check you might be flagged for the date it was processed which could be as much as a week after they recieved it.

I would say the only way to know for sure would be to contact your reseller and ask them about it. If you also ordered from xotic (which I did) with similar specs yours probably should have shipped before mine. If you ordered from powernotebooks or a different reseller then maybe they had more in queue before that date and aren't as far along with it yet.

 

crazyjediman24 , the review for np2090 is readily avaliable 3 weeks ago, but it was wxga version. If you're referring to wsxga+ there's none yet.

 

I just got confirmation my order from the 6th shipped on the 24th. I will be recieving it on the 30th. It is WSXGA+ T7300 2 gigs bltooth.

 

I ordered mine of the 4th and still haven't gotten shipping confirmation.

 

mine finally shipped today.
My order from xotic was never actually stuck in pre-order pending, they just didnt update it. My order jumped from phase 1 to phase 5 on their order tracking system -_-
im relived, excited. I wish everyone else luck with their orders as well

 

Oh, I know of the ones that are already out, I'm just greedy for more. There's actually several now, including the one in the FAQ on here. But they're small...

 

are we allowed to have several of same laptop review? If it's true I might consider to do a review

not too sure.. but i think we are. more reviews certainly help people in deciding what laptop to buy or in finding out if a laptop suits his/her needs.

well.. I'm a picky guy. So I'd look for flaws of a laptop in a review and see if I can deal with the worst flaw of the laptop.

to slightly get back on track with the topic:
so, are all backorder problems resolved with this last shipping?
I just e-mailed xoticpc the other day asking if status: "PRE-ORDER pending Item Arrival" means they're waiting for another shipment. and if that's what it means, when can I expect mine to ship.
they said my order will be sent once payment clears

well... that's a given. No merchant would send anything before payment clears
I just hope that my order will be sent immediately after my payment clears
