How much does changing a HDD for SSD affect the weight of a Sager NP8150?

It will be negligable. SSD's and HDD's weigh basically the same. You're talking an ounce or two in difference if there is one.

That's good 'cos it has to be less than 12, or my boss will turn me into a statue!

The weight of the laptop itself is on par with a 15" Macbook Pro. Not sure if that helpsat all.

Oh thanks. I was wondering what the weight was like. I needed something to compare it too.

As for the HDD and the SSD I thought there would be a much larger difference.

The 8150 is not on par with the 15 inch macbook pro. The 15 inch Macbook is 5.6 lbs while the clevo is almost 7lbs (6.83). The Macbook Pro also has a much much much lighter charger.

It's a 650g difference (Macbook Pro 15" is 2.54kg while the P150HM is 3.19kg)--not that huge. I can't say my back really feels the difference although you're definitely right about the charger.

Fair point about the two weights. The charger is massive on the P150HM, the Macbook's is very small in comparison. And quite well designed.
