see my sig for the specs.
1 so all my usbs are failing to recognize my mouse. I have one left. I will manually remove the connection before i switch on , or resume the pc . then it works. if its already connected it says corrupted. I have not tried to reinstall drivers again, but wht is this? really annoying

2 my fingerprint reader stopped working. "dependency group or service failed to start" i have tried uninstall and all that, no hope yet. I do not want to clean install windows yet, its been less than 2 months since i got my sys.

3 i get blue screen once in 2 weeks. ? also once in 2 weeks i get blu screen when i try to sleep or hibernate or shutdown. latest stable amd drivers, but i am 90% sure thats the culprit.

4 I am thinkin about getting p150 for my next upgrade. does it run hotter than p170? i want it so its 2 pounds lighter and ill be connecting it to a 24/27inch led monitor anyway.

    1. Have you tried the mouse on another machine? If it happens there, you might have a bad mouse. I've had that happen when my wireless dongle was failing for my laptop mouse. Replaced the dongle and it worked fine.

    2. If uninstall/reinstall isn't working, you can try a system restore point. However, a fresh Windows install would probably be the best idea. It sounds like there's possibly corrupt drivers or some other software/driver is conflicting.

    3. Run whocrashed and paste the dump log. That will confirm/reject whether or not it's related to the graphics driver. Once every two weeks isn't a huge deal though. You can try running the latest beta/prerelease AMD drivers as well.

    4. The P150HM will run warmer, but not significantly so (maybe a few degrees). You may just want to wait for the P150EM if you've already got the P170HM and don't need it immediately.

As far as I can tell you've got the 500GB Momentus XT Hybrid. It's known for it's BSOD, try running whocrashed as stated below and suprize me if not it's the harddrives fault :) Although I could be wrong and it could be something completely else, but I put my bet on the HHD.

thanks guys, this is my 2nd xt drive, I had no issues with my qosmio. ill do the whocrashed next time.
@malibal: i am not going to bug you guys so soon lol. Ill wait till november to get my new system. I was thinking if i can get the same hardware from 15inch i could choose that for portability. I will sacrifice my blu ray burner and probably go with an external. Do they have issues though?

I am not any Malibal, but lets see if I can help :)

Try using this website: External Blu Ray Drive Review 2012 | Compare Blu Ray Drives | Blu Ray External Optical Drive - TopTenREVIEWS
And no there isn't supposed to be any problems besides the obvious, carrying that external drive around might be a little bulky for some.

If you've done a disk cleanup since the last bluescreen, they may have been deleted. Just run the tool after the next crash (if there is one). If you still don't get any results, then either it's not a BSOD, or it's not properly saving the dump files (which should never happen if you have page files enabled).

I have seen the screen while BSOD, it says dumping memory to hard drive or something, and there is a number running. I run sys mech, adv sys care everyday, it might have deleted it

Without the dump files, it would be impossible to see the source of the BSOD.

Kindly let us know and upload the dump files, and also you could use whocrashed to identify what failed, and you could try reinstalling the drivers of the device.
