I don't know what it is but there's this weird beeping sound in my Sager 9262 which happens at random times... Something similar to that low battery beeping o_O It just started this morning :/ Doubt it's anything good. My battery's full, using it on plugged in so I doubt it's the low battery warning. Anyone had this problem before?

I experienced that six to eight months ago. It happened two or three times over the course of a couple of weeks, then went away, and I haven't heard it since. I couldn't find any reasonable cause.

Well it's beeping frequently on mine o_O Like every 2-5 minutes... Can't find a cause for it too :/ Temperatures are lingering below 60 so it's not overheating

It could be the internet or security.

It might be. The moment i opened AVG's user interface, it beeped and then it disappears again

Mine just started doing it. I think the HDD had something to do with it. Beeping, clicking, chirping, and the sounds of a super busy hdd. it was strange. Stopped right as soon as I hit record.

It could also be the result of outdated KBC/EC firmware resulting in a conflict of some sort between the temp controller and the keyboard buffer (when the keyboard buffer is full, any further keyboard input results in beeping); make sure all of your firmware is up-to-date.

If it's beeping, it's because something is not right...

But if you don't find any reason for that, just mute the "PC Beep" entry.
(I don't recommend this, do it only as a final recourse)

i know on my previous laptop, beeping like what you describe was a warning to me that my hard drive was at first failing and then later telling me that its no longer working properly. (took 20mins to copy 3gb file)

A little test you can do is to enable max fans (Function+1). If the beeping stops, then you know it is KBC firmware issue.

I'm putting my bets on the HDD. When picking up the system with the HDD running, it chirps at me like I'm doing something bad.
