    Hello guys,

I'm having a weird keyboard delay problem on my clevo p650SG (check signature),

After some times, in a offline/multiplayer game, when i press then release the W (or some other key like Shift), the game acts as if i was still pressing the key ! So for like 5 seconds my character keeps moving :

It's annoying, for instance in Rise of tomb raider, If i see a trap, a release the W key so that lara croft doesn't fall in the hole, but since it's delayed, the character falls anyway --'...

    - Rise of the tomb raider
    - Battlefront
    - Borderlands TPS
    - Tom Clancy Division

All those games have this problem !

I tried everything, I re-installed win10 entirely, but I still have those problems.

I THINK it happened when i installed nvidia 364.51 drivers, I re-installed windows tested both stable Drivers 362.00 and 364.72, but still....i keep having those delays !

    * No overheat
    * everything updated, bios, nvidia, intel Hotkey, no shadowplay of Nvidia gefore experience installed.
    * tested with and without Vsync.

Still....NOTHING, it brutally appeared one day,..

If you have any clue, please help me, i cannot play on my notebook because of this annoying bug.

    THANKS.

Disable Flexikey but hitting Fn+Backspace and see if you still experience any issues.

@wickette - Do you experience similar behavior outside of games (does the keystroke repeat after letting go in, say, a word document)?

It's worth checking in with your reseller to see if they have any suggestions on how to resolve it as well.

Nope, it's not related to the keyboard, i tested it extensively on Word.

I'm really out of ideas. My computer is out of warranty, and I'm changing it as soon as Pascal mobile is out, but that's really weird. Might do a video to show the behavior.

    It's like that :
after releasing W, the info s received directly by the computer, but the game, the software, receive this information with a delay...so my character stops moving up to 5 sec after i release the key.

Check for irq conflicts, try with no devices plugged in.

Go in to the control panel, and then the Ease of Access Center. In the options to change how your keyboard works, make sure that sticky keys are turned off. If that is turned on, it is possible taht holding or pressing shift multiple times could toggle that on. Worth checking at least.

You can check for software based issues by doing a clean install (after an image backup).

I did a complete reset of the computer, formatting etc. I got rid of one issue : I had suttering in League of Legends with any Nvidia drivers >362.00, it vanished with the clean isntall but i still have those weird delays. I'm going to try something else : rollback to 362.00 the latest stable driver i had before having those delays.

Have you tried installing the version Nvidia drivers that are the most recent ones available from your reseller? Usually those are the ones that they have tested and approved, though they might be older.

Did not have this bug with Nvidia drivers that are mosrre recent than those on the clevo website.

Thing is i cannot rollback to a an old driver, they're not optimised for modern games.
If the problem came from here, i'd have the bug since i upgraded the Nnidia drivers one years ago ;).

I installed 362.00, didn't have time to test it, will do this wednesday.

I checked all my temperatures, but i did not check the PCH temp, might be coming from here who knows ? Will check those temps also wednesday.

I am quite sure it is an issue with the keyboard lel. I had this issue, try holding down the "W" key in Wordpad or something, the issue should resurface. My problem was solved after I brought my P650SG back to my reseller to replace the keyboard.

Before buying a new keyboard I think it is worth it to remove the key and clean underneath it. But yeah keyboard replacement is very easy to do on Clevos. Until the new keyboard gets delivered to you, I suggest you buy a cheap external usb keyboard to enjoy your games if you don't have one already.

Microsoft Word, League of Legends do not have keyboard latency.

Star wars battlefront, Tom clancy Division, Wordpad have this problem

That doesn't really add up. I'd wager the problem is the keyboard, not software.

Yes I laready asked for a quote from the reseller of my p650, for me it's the keyboard.

Well, after testing with simultaneously a Razer keyboard and the Clevo keyboard, i can confirm that the Clevo keyboard is faulty...

here someone has the same issue, so it looks like a factory defect, maybe a rare one, but it might has something to do with the CPU heat harming keyboard components or something like that.

Try holding down the "w" key even longer in Microsoft Word. I am very sure it will happen.
