Last summer (A year and change ago) I bought the Sager 5790 to bring with me to college. It's served me well, and I've pretty much haven't had any problems with the way it runs or anything. My problem arose recently, and it's more of a physical problem.
The two hinges on either side, connecting the base of the laptop to the screen, seem to enjoy sliding out of the base of the laptop. I don't know how they were connected to begin with, so I don't know what broke, if anything to cause this to happen. It just started happening recently, over a year after I bought the laptop, and it's starting to get to the point where it's difficult to open the laptop without having to fiddle with these hinges, sliding them back into place, and then trying to hold them as I open the laptop so they don't slide out again.
So my question is, what can/should I do to fix this? I don't want to just throw glue in there, because I'm not exactly sure what may happen because of it, if anything. Plus it's kind of a difficult piece to glue in the first place.
Here's a crappy picture of the situation. Note the silver pegs coming out of the hinge which should be inside the laptop, and the wire on the left (There are 2 wires, but one's behind the other).

Have you ever had it taken apart for some reason, more than just opening the bottomcase to the CPU,GPU ect. ? Also, at the back of the computer, there are six screwholes, three at each hinge, are there any screws sitting in thoes places ? There should be one in each
They could have been broken/fallen out by some reason.

I've never opened the laptop, so that's a no. I quickly glanced at the back of the laptop, and there are 3 screws on each side: 1 on each hinge, and 2 just below each hinge, on the base of the laptop, though presumably to screw into those metal posts I guess. None of the screws are missing. It's a bad photo, but if you look in the attached photo from my original post you see on the right-most metal post the beginning of like a crevice. If you lift it up a bit more, it looks like that was the hole where the screw went in maybe, but it's broken through both sides of the post, so the post broke around the screw. Just a guess for now, I haven't ventured any further to see what went on.

This happened on my old dell laptop, you just need a new hinge joint, should be able to get one from your reseller, if not try rjtech, they seem to sell parts.

This happened to my M570U and was fixed under warranty (by Rock in the UK) I have also heard of three other M570U's with the same problem and one two M570RUs, so I believe it is actually a design flaw with the product.
Here is an example of a M570RU with it happening - http://www.rockforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13827
Hope this helps!
Weird physical problem with the 5790?
