Hello All,
I've posted a few times on here. Firstly was a bit negative about Kobalt, as many seem to have been in the past. Later I posted to say how pleased I was with the laptop.
I've had a problem with the BIOS and my laptop ended up fried. Called Kobalt who arranged for next day pick up by TNT. They got the machine back, ordered a new motherboard, fitted it and at the moment it is winging its way back via TNT to me in the Netherlands. The whole process has been resolved within 2 weeks. The main thing, from my point of view, is that the communication with them (all via email) has been timely and up to date. This is a big improvement. They have a new support manager there called Peter who joined mid Feb. Generally the feeling seems to be that things have improved since then (it may be a coincidence !!)
From my experience things certainly are looking up with Kobalt which is good as the product is great. My G890 (Clevo X8100) is a real beast and I will be very glad to get her back again![]()

Well I also received my laptop today morning. Sure it's a week late but that's due to delivery complications which I didn't really mind :3 Everyone makes mistakes. Kobalt swiftly responded to the problem and dealt with it with haste. Communication wise, I'd say they're really quick to reply
usually within a few hours to a day at most
