    Hello All,

    I've posted a few times on here. Firstly was a bit negative about Kobalt, as many seem to have been in the past. Later I posted to say how pleased I was with the laptop.

    I've had a problem with the BIOS and my laptop ended up fried. Called Kobalt who arranged for next day pick up by TNT. They got the machine back, ordered a new motherboard, fitted it and at the moment it is winging its way back via TNT to me in the Netherlands. The whole process has been resolved within 2 weeks. The main thing, from my point of view, is that the communication with them (all via email) has been timely and up to date. This is a big improvement. They have a new support manager there called Peter who joined mid Feb. Generally the feeling seems to be that things have improved since then (it may be a coincidence !!)

    From my experience things certainly are looking up with Kobalt which is good as the product is great. My G890 (Clevo X8100) is a real beast and I will be very glad to get her back again :)

    Well I also received my laptop today morning. Sure it's a week late but that's due to delivery complications which I didn't really mind :3 Everyone makes mistakes. Kobalt swiftly responded to the problem and dealt with it with haste. Communication wise, I'd say they're really quick to reply :p usually within a few hours to a day at most :)

    They're a small company, so when they're busy, an extra pair of hands can really help! Not like Pete isn't enthusiastic about his tech either!

    Yes, it feels good to be part of the Clevo community both as user and as reseller. That's why I still visit this forum once in a while :).

    Good to hear. Gotten kinda tired of all the negativity surrounding them, but at least they are improving.
