Since you live in london you might consider kobalt computers (type it in google and click on the first link you see). Its a UK company which uses clevo products.
Note: there should be new models released in march, it might be worth waiting for the new ati hd 5 series...

For UK, have a look at Kobalt and Novatech.

Kobalt has a rep on this forum, Neil@Kobalt, you can try PMing him for more information.

You can commonly find them at junk yards. That is the only place they really shine.

He has every right to be mad. K-TRON was once an owner of the notorious D900K, which I too think was a horribly designed notebook. That notebook was probably the only hiccup Clevo has produced back in that tech era. The succeeding notebooks, the D900C and D900F, were much better as Clevo learned from their mistakes with the D900K. The rest of Clevo's current lineup are built very well, but since K-TRON's only Clevo was the D900K, the experience he had with it is only reflective of that particular model alone and not the rest of Clevo's notebook lineup from back then and now.

I think the D900T had some issues as well.

Yes, the D900T had many of the same issues that the D900K had. But they're pretty much both the same notebook. It's just one has an Intel based and the other AMD based.

    Pretty much.
For those who don't know, his D900K has cost him enough to buy 5-6 W860CUs (basic config).
