Is there any way to check the mobo revision w.o opening the laptop?

does that work with these 579x's?? it doesnt always show what it is correctly..

it doesnt take anything to open it its maybe 10 small screws and the bottom lifts right off.. unless you have a warr sticker there..

I don`t think he has a warranty sticker on it, only a few resellers are that dumb to stop you from cleaning your notebook`s fans from dust.
It`s pretty easy, just remove the screws that hold the back panel. Just never force it open,it`s a pretty easy going job.

prob the only real way is to pop the cover off.. as the rev would be a number.

what model do you have? 5790, 5791, etc...?

    I think I have 4.1 also, since I got the 5791 as Z .
But I might be wrong. Next time I do a dust cleanup, I`ll take a look.

yea,but yours is a X7900, with a better thermal design than my older T7500 model.
Audigy has a T7700, which runs normally at 2.4 ,but he has it at 2.9,that`s why I`d like to know how his temps are.
Mine can go up to 68C in some games or 3dmark and it doesn`t sound too good for me.

The CPU. Your mobo may not be designed to OC,but the CPU runs cooler than my T version, yours being a newer version.
    Audigy ? :D
