Is there any way to check the mobo revision w.o opening the laptop?

Download CPU-Z.
-
does that work with these 579x's?? it doesnt always show what it is correctly..
it doesnt take anything to open it its maybe 10 small screws and the bottom lifts right off.. unless you have a warr sticker there.. -
I don`t think he has a warranty sticker on it, only a few resellers are that dumb to stop you from cleaning your notebook`s fans from dust.
It`s pretty easy, just remove the screws that hold the back panel. Just never force it open,it`s a pretty easy going job. -
Under cpuz it says "REv.CO". What do you have eleron and Z?
-
prob the only real way is to pop the cover off.. as the rev would be a number.
what model do you have? 5790, 5791, etc...? -
I dont know, I didnt get it from Sager, I purchased from PCmicroworks
-
c'mon crack it open and take a look you know you want to ...
-
I put the Infos of my NB into the BIOS such as SN MB-Rev. etc.
-
nice same rev as mine.. thanks for showing that..and if i am right i believe you also said sleep works fine? correct? trying to get a faq about all this setup..
-
I didn´t say that, but sleep works fine for me, BUT i have only a 7950, not 8800, so it must be fine.
-
ahh okay i thoughr it was you ill have to check my pm's to see who it was i know of 4 people on here who have the 8800 with rev 4.1 or older that told me they tested sleep with 0 issues (with the newest bios)
-
I think I have 4.1 also, since I got the 5791 as Z .
But I might be wrong. Next time I do a dust cleanup, I`ll take a look. -
kaltmond, did you go to that second attachment page using system info or what?
-
It´s just Lavalys Everest, under Summary.
-
wow, thats weird, under revision, it says "not applicable"
-
yea, that´s right. I said before, i put these infos in the BIOS myself, just for fun.
-
Oh, OK, well guesss i haveto do it the hard way, unless someone with the 57u92 mb gives pic of cpuz where the mobo rev does not say "CO"
-
mine does not list it under cpuz either it says the same as yours hkman..looks like the hard way is the only way lol...im playing with phoeniz editor now though and hoping to have a 1.00.08 with sager logo and this info already embedded though it doesnt like it... still trying though ive done this before with other bios' and its been easy but this clevo bios doesnt like it

Audigy , how are your temps in the CPU department? Cause I see you got it at 2.9, wow.
-
My temps, according to everst are around 40-50
-
yea,but yours is a X7900, with a better thermal design than my older T7500 model.
Audigy has a T7700, which runs normally at 2.4 ,but he has it at 2.9,that`s why I`d like to know how his temps are.
Mine can go up to 68C in some games or 3dmark and it doesn`t sound too good for me. -
Thne cpu or the mobo? Cus my mobo is not the one designed for Extreme procs.
-
The CPU. Your mobo may not be designed to OC,but the CPU runs cooler than my T version, yours being a newer version.
Audigy ? -
yes the t7500 gets pretty hot thats what i have now.. i have a x9000 waiting though...
What Mobo Revision do I have?
