okay great thanx, what will happen if i have 1 x 1GB stick with 667 and 1 x 2GB stick using 800? - i do plan on upgrading the second stick to 2GB IF vista Ultimate 64Bit installs

what the performace increase from 667 to 800, will i notice it?
as novatech dont have the 800 version instock but they have 667, and i have til 4:30 to order it and i can only get everything this weekend - is it worth risking not getting all of it just to get the 800 version over the 667 version or should i just order everhting with the 667 version? -
DDR2-667 vs DDR2-800, you won't notice a difference in performance.
And if you install DDR2-800 alongwith a DDR2-667 module, the former will downclock to DDR2-667.
For most users, memory size matters more than memory speed. -
I think the mobo will run at the lowest clock in the event one stick is faster than the other one.

well iwaited as long as i could, looks like ill have to get the 667 version, but if its going to downgrade from 800 to 667 then i guess it doesnt matter

Err....Yeah !!

If you run all 800, you will see a slight difference in performance with memory intensive applications. Vue 6 is much snappier for me when I upgraded my desktop. If you move to 800MHz @ CAS4, I think you'll see a performance difference. Snappiness = Happiness.

I´d really like a 800@CL4, but without vdimm mod seems to be impossible for most rams, except the new Kingston HyperX.....But price.....
What RAM do i need
