I bought mine close to a year ago so I have not follow up with the latest and greatest hardware.

My notebook specification is in my sig.

What are the Ivy 7 chipset like and what exactly does it do? What is the differences between Fermi and Kepler?

And how does it compare to my notebook.

I don't plan on updating my notebook because as far as I'm concern the 580m GPU can play Crysis 2 on close to max graphics so for me that is all I really need, but I'm still curious what these new notebook are like and if there are any new feature in it such as backlit?

Are the audio in this bad boy louder now or anything else you folks can tell me, would really appreciate it.

And if not where can i go to find these info? It would make a good read!

All that info is on this forum or resellers web sites. Just look around.

Maybe i should check xoptic pc website, they usually talk the most about their notebook.

Tell me one thing though, are these new notebook with the ivy 7 chipset much more powerful than the old notebook?

I think it's a big difference. A difference worth getting a new computer and having to transfer all of your old files and programs over? I'm not sure about. I just got my NP9170 last Thursday and it's amazing. Everything I could have hoped for. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Probably 10 times more powerful than your 1 year old notebook. Soon you will be unable to play Crisis 2 on low settings since the game will realize your machine is now obsolete.

580m and your current i7 will serve you will for sometime... would wait another year at least to make it worth the upgrade if thats what your thinking...

I got that after he said I can only play Crysis 2 on low when I am playing it on ultra now with DX 11 lol.

But seriously how much better is it?
