What do I use this weird little adapter that came with my 9262 for?

It looks like component cables, but they are all inputs. Does this mean I can input a component signal onto my laptop? Could someone explain this?

"Video adapter cable for HDTV Component output / Svideo output". I believe this allows you to take the video signal output from your laptop and run it to a video source that does not support S-video Input but does support RCA inputs. I'm not sure if this is only for people that purchased the internal TV Tuner or if it ports the signal out from the video card itself to an external TV. I will have to try it out when I get home.
    I see under the specs

    1 S-video TV-Out
    1 S-video Video-in (Optional TV-Tuner Module Required)

so perhaps im mistaken in my original opinion.

It should be for Component out.

The SVideo port on your unit also has the Component Video signal coming out of it. Use the adapter if you want to use Component in on another device

Is it worthless without a TVtuner card, or could I still hook my laptop up to an HDTV? I also have an HDMI -> DVI converter. Could I hook my PS3 up to my laptop and use the screen?

you need a TV Tuner to use Video In (S-Video, Coaxial)... the port on the back.

You have a S-Video output port on the side of the notebook, which does not require a TV Tuner.

If you want to play a console on your notebook, its easier to use an Adaptec Gamebridge
