I am referring to systems that are returned within the 30 day no questions asked time period. I am sure some are returned with no problems, some may have cosmetic damage or some just may need to have a part replacement. Any type of outlet?
-
I'm sure it must be very rare cases where systems are actually being returned.
-
they eat them for breakfast!
LOL they probably refurbish all of the parts incase a customer calls for any replacements.
-
Perhaps that's true, but I'd still like to know if the systems are resold at all (not to those who are expecting a new system but to those who want to save a few bucks).
-
i returned my sager notebook. i'm pretty sure they re-use it....or at least put its components into a new chasis
-
They may also simply kick them back to Clevo, who may, for all we know, resell them in some other part of the world.
-
i was wondering too-why dont they have an outlet?and i have another, even better,question-what is AW doing with so much number of returned m15x if they dont have an outlet?
-
As someone above said, most makers probably keep the parts in inventory for repairs, or they pass them on to be sold in other markets.
-
Assuming Mr.A returned his system because of problem 1 and Mr.B sent his for fix because of problem 2. AW would simply give Mr.A's to Mr.B. Now for Mr.B, problem 2 is gone but the new problem 1 showed up.
Ask MrDJ, he experienced this. -
To answer Xirug's question. AW actually has an outlet on Ebay.

How did he find out it belonged to someone else, Nirvana? -
different chassis with different name plate.
Also AW had never put m9700, m9750, m15x for outlet. maybe not even m7700 -
Man, talk about covering tracks.
I've never seen the M9700, M9750 or M15X in outlet. Might have seen the M7700. Usually there aren't many choices though, especially among laptops. -

as Nirvana stated, i returned my m15x for a new motherboard and while it was there they also changed the chassis.
