    What happened to my 6700k?

    Hi guys!
    By using the Intel XTU ,i find my 6700k reach the process current limit!

    As the screenshots below:
    I find the "Current Limit Throttilng" is "yes" and my 6700k's multipliers had drop down to 32x! Especially when i am playing 3d games such as "The Witcher 3".

    My laptop is clevo P870dm3-g,how can i solve this problem? My Bios is the default clevo "Style Note",i had not find any settings about the current.

    Any body know what happed to my 6700k? What happed to my P870dm3-g?

    you can counter that current limit throttling by undervolting your cpu. the lower the voltage, the less current limit throttling. otherwise, there is just Prema Bios Mod to enlarge the board´s current limits :)

    I believe the CPU throttling under GPU load is fixed with an updated EC for the P870DM3, so check with your reseller.

    Yes i decrease the CPU voltage for cooling but just Can i use the default 40x multipler? My 6700k Can works at 45x stable just current limit in some cases those large CPU usage.So i want to break through the limit.

    I am not sure it is the EC's problem,my EC's version is the latest 1.05.08.

    Did you buy from a Prema partner? If yes, then you need to contact them and see how to get it. If not, then ask your reseller if they have a different BIOS or EC to try out. I am using a different EC that made things much better for me until I can get Prema installed.

    Sorry I missed the comment directly above mine. Yeah I started on 08 which like he said was the newest, but it was badly throttling even though my temps were great. Once my partner (HIDEvolution) helped me out all is well, at least until I get Prema :D

    Just a heads up: Per the announcement on Mr. Fox's YouTube page, the latest Prema BIOS for the P870DM3-G was just released. Contact your reseller to get it.

    Thank you for your advise,i will try to contact with prema directly. :)As you said,i also think donation is deserved for him.I am a prema's fan.I n our country there are a lot of people using his bios ,i am newer using clevo,but i had heard him a long time ago.He is excellent.
