Right now, sagernotebook.com is having a $200 promotion on the system.

Specifically, how is the sound system? People say Sager notebooks have weak sound so I am wonder are they refering to the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB2 Audio with Onkyo speakers on this system.

    Thanks!

From what I hear there is no problem with the NP9370 it was more with the NP9150 and the NP9170.

It was the way the DAC was using it's own amplification for the output rather than going through a dedicated circuit.

So is this issue in the 17.3 laptops or just the 15.6 laptops?

Not unless you want to design a new motherboard for it.

I'd just get a uDAC or something little and portable like that.

Yeah, it's a motherboard routing issue, an easy fix when when moving to a new product like the SM series, but can't be fixed with a current design.
