I'm using a Dell Latitude 830 with WUXGA at work and it has 200 nits. It's also dimmer than heck so I am hoping it's higher on either of those systems displays.

you can read the specs of the LCD panel...
Most people would care about the contrast ratio and response time.
here is for LG LCD panels... which are mainly used by most 17" notebooks:
http://www.lgphilips-lcd.com/homeContain/jsp/eng/prd/prd300_j_e.jsp
The panels most widely used are:
- WXGA+ (1440x900) - LP171WP4
- WSXGA+ (1680x1050) - LP171WE2
- WUXGA (1920x1200) - LP171WU1 -
Mine did not come with an LG panel and it is DIM.
My monitor is APP9C69... I am not happy with this lcd at all...I thought they all came with LG! -

It might come with a different screen depending on where you order. Sager, XoticPC, FalconWest, etc. all rebrand the same Clevo notebooks, but are responsible for building each one, so each brand could use different kinds of screens.
What is the 5793, 9262 screen lumines?
