    You should check out to see if you can put in a Quad Core Extreme.

    you cannot use Quad Extreme.... due to their high TDP

    This is correct for the reasons stated. There should be some faster come out in the next month or 2 but it will depend on the TDP if they can be used in this DTR.

    Oh I almost wanted to save up for the Quad Extreme but I gees I can't upgrade it ;(

    maybe new quad extremes will come out with a 95w TDP... then you can use those fine. :)

    Rumor has it that they will work, but we won't know until they actually hit the shelves. Truhfully unless you are doing really high high end cad or video editing you won't really need it. On mine I can rip a movie, encode a movie, burn a cd, watch a movie, down load an .iso, and surf the net without any system sluggishness at all. It was only using 45-55% of the cpu and the next gen is 40%+ faster. All I can say is WoW!
