It shows up even after I wash my hands and start typing... Therefore I don't think it can be oil. It only shows on the right half of the keyboard. Could be the mouse oils maybe? I wipe my mouse down quite often though. I tried using cleaning wipes, but it still comes back no matter what. Any ideas? If it matters, I have the Windows 8 keyboard from Sager, and I'm using the CM Storm Xornet mouse.

I'd imagine it's dead skin, other impurities from your hand, sweat, and all the other lovely stuff - but I might be wrong as well. Does it build up on that mouse of yours?

Yeah, it could be. But it gets on there even after I wash my hands. I don't see the same marks on my mouse, but since it's only on the right side, I'm thinking that could be the culprit. I'm gonna just use the trackpad and seen if the same thing happens.

    to good. ahah

My keyboard gets much worse than thatt, Im assuming it from all the hair product in my hair... har har har .

On to the point, it comes off quite easily with wet wipes, so nothing to worry about :)

LOL you seem to know me too well... Hahaha jk jk

Haha yeah it does, but even after I wash my hands, it comes right back on if I type continuously for more than five minutes. I think it's the mouse that's causing it. I used just the track pad for a bit and didn't notice any smudges on the keyboard.

Yeah that residue is coming from somewhere, if it cleans off it's not the keyboard itself.

Yeah, I think I've narrowed it down to my mouse. Might try and use a different one and see if the smudges go away. Thanks everyone!
