I'm a cheapskate, so I was thinking if I ordered a Sager 9750 I would order it with a single 1GB stick of RAM and then order another 1GB stick of RAM from here, and then install it myself when the laptop arrives.

But I'm not 100% sure what type of RAM the 9750 takes. PC3200 DDR 400MHz 200 pin?

(I'm in Ontario, Canada and Memory Depot is in Quebec, so there wouldn't be any duty or PST to pay if I ordered RAM from them).

Hi Jason, Just like you said the NP9750 uses PC3200 SODIMM DDR 200 Pin.

There are two dimms internally in the machine with capacity up to 2GB.

    Hope this helps :D

LOL, nice Jason. I did the same thing when I ordered my D900K (Sager 9750) barebones.

I ordered 2 sticks of Kingston 1gb DDR400 SO-DIMM to max out my RAM, which I installed and am currently running. Each 1gb stick runs for about $100.

    Rock on, go 9750 users.
