Hi I've had my Sager np8662 for a week now and i am lovin it. The only problem i have is the HDD. Ive already read the post on the hot hdd but i was wondering if i should replace the hdd or what? I am worried with how hot it gets. It use to idle at 55-58 but with new drivers it stays at 52-55. Would tis hot HDD affect other hardware including the cpu and gpu? I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on what i could do? Is it just a faulty HDD and should i call xoticpc to replace it or what? Or is that normal? BTW i have the seagate momentus 7200.3. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thnx.

Well considering I have the exact same specs as you (including same hdd) and that mine idles at 45-48 and tops at 53, I'd say either something in software is making the hdd hot or your hdd is a bit faulty..
But it isn't that hot if your not in the 60s, and if it fails well warranty will take care of it :)

I'd say keep it and do a backup in case. But do tell xoticpc, so they know that some of their hdds are running hot.
