    hi guys,

I'm planning to meeting someone to buy a used np8678-s/p670rg.

Besides checking for dead pixels, cosmetic, ports etc.

Are there any know issues I should look into like heat and performance issues.

What programs should I get to test these?

Run some benchmark programs for cpu and gpu while keeping open HWiNFO for the temps. And if you plan to buy the drive(s) as well; check if their SMART values are all in the green (HWiNFO can show them). Also look at device manager and see if any devices have a problem, are disabled or have no driver, either of which could indicate a hardware problem. As for the display, have some incredibly simple, portable tools for that: Fill and Gradient.7z.

If you find some errors or flaws with the components then just insist on a discount equivalent to their value and replace them.

Ah .... and, quite important, see if you can access the bios or that it has a password. One which the seller has forgotten, that is o_O ...

Don't forget to meet in a public place with cameras and a power socket :)
